A multi-tiered “Global Kongu Foundation web portal” has been designed to unite the Kongu community that is now spread all over the world, by keeping them informed of the relevant updates and news.
- Facility to upload photographs, news videos, short films and news, which can be viewed only by the members,
- Webcast of festivals and special prayers at the family deity temples, to be viewed by members of the community people,
- Web pages to post important news and history of the family deity temples,
- Webcast of the Kongu community festivals, and achievements of the members of our community,
- Facilities to improve the trade and business of our community members,
- When membership on the web portal grows, we will be able to successfully create a feeling that our community members are not alone, no matter where they are in the world,
- To create/make Cultural programmes, short films, and special courses on our culture and history, in an appealing manner to the younger generations. To identify creative persons and talented speakers from the community who could serve as our cultural ambassadors wherever they go – within and outside India – and to send them to various places, on request,
- Establishing and Consolidating a close bond between the women and the younger generation of our community by regularly organizing “Kongu Family Get-Togethers”
- To identify elderly members of the community who continue to properly follow and practice the traditions and customs of our various family lineages/groups, and refer them to those who need their guidance,
- Revive the long-forgotten customs and traditions that are acceptable in the current times, and follow them. Create an organization headed by His Holiness Perur/Adheenam and His Holiness Siravai/Adheenam to accomplish this task,
- Keeping in mind the future and career objectives of our younger generation – to establish Course Guidance Centres and Career Gudiance Centres,
- Conducting currently relevant short-term and certificate courses in educational institutions run by the members of our community,
- Attempt to establish and run homes, medical facilities and treatment centres for the members of our community who are economically backward,
- Setting up of a “Kongu Cultural Centre” in Coimbatore, the capital of the Kongu region, and provide facilities like an auditorium, mini-theatre, and library,
- Establishing legal cell, audit, tax experts cell and etc – to guide and assist needy people.
